Twinkle Toes in the House...

I'm not sure bling, sparkles or glitter will ever leave our house. ;)

Have a good one!

Fun Bits for the Week...

Fun Bits for the week of  4/18/11...

Yes, I know I haven't posted in a week.  I'm in complete chaos right now...new designs, new website modules, new mid-show release, Easter in the middle of all of that, prep for Mega Meet, prep for upcoming classes, new product for the consumer site - shall I go on?

Here's some fun bits for the last two weeks...

* While driving to the waterpark last Thursday, we went by downtown Columbus.  Eric asked the girls what city it was and Leah said "New York".  Mom said "I wish".  Brooke chimmed in and said "and there's the ocean".   Laughter from Mom and Dad.
* Impressively Brooke typed our house number on the calculator without prompting.
* Kams is back together with her boyfriend at preschool - thank goodness. ;)
* If you see Brooke, ask her to sing "Peace like a wiver" - you will thoroughly enjoy it.
* Leah is definitely 7 going on 15.  Bossy.  Complaining all the time.  Snaps at Mom.  Gets mad easily.
* Kami is insistent that she's getting so big, so fast.  I keep reminding her - yes, I know.
* Brooke told me I had big boobs when she saw me naked in the bathroom stall at the waterpark.  Little does she know they're 3 times smaller than they used to be!
* We enjoyed our visitors over the Easter weekend!  Ron, Kathy and the girls came down for a waterpark adventure, Easter egg hunt and Easter morning.  I have some pics to share!!!

One sweet bathing beauty.  Looking through these pics - she seems to be smiling more for me.  She was having a ball at the waterpark - I had to keep an eye on her because she was starting to be a little daredevil on the slides.

See that big black funnel in the middle - to my surprise, Leah rode down that slide with her Dad.  It's like a funnel.  She really impressed me - since she's still afraid to put her face in the water. ;)

One tired bubs sitting with Uncle Ron.

Kami had a blast too!  Slide, steps, repeat....slide, steps, repeat.

Alyssa had to sneak in some texting but Aunt Jill caught her! ;)

Brooke wasn't as concerned about the Egg hunt.  She got tired really fast and was ok with only a couple of eggs.  Good thing her sisters and cousins were there to help her find her "34" eggs.  Thanks Aunt Kathy!

The crew before the hunt.  They look happy!

Kami's on a mission!

Camille doesn't look thrilled to have Aunt Jill taking her picture while she's creatively coloring eggs.

Pretty colors.

Peeps for breakfast?  Makes a girl happy.

Purple was our color this year.

The whole gang all dressed up and ready for church!

Have a great week everyone!

Grumpy Dad

This is Brooke's take on Dad when he's grumpy...

Not too bad if you ask me...for a 3 yr old anyhow. ;)

Have a good one!

Oh so simple but cute CARDS!!!

I usually make more cards than layouts...these were incredibly simple.  I love how clean they look and the corrugated shapes add the right amount of punch!

If you cut one of the owls out of the Silly Owls paper, it fits perfectly behind one of the corrugated owls (in with the hearts).

Who doesn't love trees?

I gave this card to our new neighbors with some flowers.  I think it's my favorite of the 4.  The bird makes me smile.

Have a FANTABULOUS day!  <---- that's my new favorite word. ;)

Fun Bits for the Week...4.4.11

Fun Bits for the week of 4.4.11...

* Lily (dog) started her new meds this week and seems to be doing fine.  The funny thing is the meds come in the form of treats and she's hesitant to eat them.  Before we had to stuff her pills in a treat and half the time she would spit them out!
* I lost 6 pounds but quickly gained half of it back with my trip to Wisconsin.  Hopefully this weather can get me back in gear!  I'm supposed to be in a bathing suit in 2 weeks (indoor waterpark).  Yikes!!!!!
* Kami told Eric today that her boyfriend Decon "broke up with her because he has a different girlfriend"...she's 4!  I can't wait to see Decon's Mom on Wednesday to see what happened! ;)
* Brooke said we were eating at Max & Sunday's tonight ...it was a combination of Max & Ermas and Ruby Tuesdays. ;)
* I'm looking forward to a women's retreat with our church this weekend.  I could really use some spiritual guidance these days.
* Eric is filling out paperwork for a second set of school pictures for Leah...I don't understand why they take them twice a year now?  Yes, I know, to make more money....  Seems crazy to me.  They have digital backgrounds to choose from and I choose none of them!
* I really enjoyed my trip to Wisconsin this past weekend. The Scrapbook Store in Greenfield was beautiful...thank you Beth and Angie!  My students were very friendly and well behaved ;).   Love seeing Stephanie from Bella and I visited her offices.  Jen and I had a good time too! We just giggle and it makes me feel young again!  Here are a couple of pics...

Jen is absolutely giddy about being published for the first time - her first try at applying!!!!!  Congrats Jen!  Way to go!

One side of the classroom...there's Stephanie in the middle...notice she and Morgan are talking.  I had to keep a close eye on them to make sure they were following directions! ;)

Cupcakes by Beth!  Yummy!  She even made the cute sugar pics on top out of Jillibean paper!

Some Jillibean goodness.  They had a cute banner and pinwheels hanging up for me.

What I don't have a picture of is of the Thrift store that's right next door to the Scrapbook Store.  They had hundreds (maybe even thousands) of 2nd had Barbies hanging up on peg boards in the entrance on on the walls - oh my, it was quite creepy!

That's it for me!  Have a great week!

I'm sure I'll have pics and stories to share.

Fun Bits for the Week of 3.28.11

Fun stuff going on at the Yeg house ...the week of 3.28.11

* Brooke yelling "who dranked out of my Jesus cup"...one of her older sister's VBS cups...made me giggle.
* Leah finally started soccer - she's been ready but the weather has not been cooperating.
* Lily (dog) and hubby have been fighting over snoring time at night - they go back and forth...dog...hubby...dog...hubby.
* Brooke and Kami making their babysitter laugh until she cried with their singing of Katy Perry's song "Firework".
* Saturday morning I found myself watching Yo Gabba Gabba (which I can't stand) but only because Jack Black was on the episode and I couldn't believe he would wear that orange suit!
* Thoroughly enjoyed game night with the neighbors and friends.  Nice to have some non-Jillibean fun!
* Happy Birthday Uncle Jeff - 4.4.11
* This is how kids get dressed in our house without supervision...

Have a great week!

Bitter-Sweet

I'm thrilled to have so many people apply for our design team - so many talented people I should say, but it's really hard for me to let people down.  I know that people purchase new products, they try new techniques, they re-write their application 10 times so it sounds just right.  I know this and that just makes it even harder for me.  I don't want anyone to feel like it wasn't worth it.  Please keep trying.  Many of our past DT members were either guest designers or we've seen their work before and really liked what they did with Jillibean products.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for applying, it means the world to me that all of you support Jillibean Soup.

Here is the new team:

Congrats to the ladies!  I can't wait to see some of the great new stuff you cook-up!
