Hmmm, Fun Bits, Where have they been?

Busy with dance recitals, new product development, Brownie parties, hiring new employees, soccer games, soccer assessments for travel soccer next year, setting up the consumer site, starting to exercise again, getting ready for a garage sale, and the list goes on and on....

Anyhow, how about some Fun Bits for the last month?

*Eric caught Brooke hiding behind the chair yesterday eating chocolate.
*Speaking of Brooke/chocolate - about a week ago, Brooke tried to sneak chocolate out the door after I told her she could not have it!
*Kami enjoyed her boyfriend's birthday party. ;)  Deacon's Mom called to invite Kami to the Chuck E Cheese party.  During the conversation she proceeded to tell me that Kami kissed Deacon at school ...twice!!  I was a bit shocked.  Kami's already initiating!!!  Kami and I had to have a talk about inappropriate behavior at preschool. ;)  Here's Deacon...

*I'm not going to see the girls much this summer - they LOVE playing outside!
*Speaking of outside - Brooke (reminder here-she's almost 4) keeps butting heads with the new neighbor girl (who's almost 4).  They fight over toys all the time - 2 peas in a pod!
*I had a fun visit to Iowa even though my flight out of Chicago was cancelled so I drove in a too-expensive rental car to Des Moines to get there 7 hours earlier and when I returned home the next day my luggage couldn't keep up and didn't make it home!!!
*Lily (dog) can't stand the heat anymore...she's outside for 5 minutes and she comes in panting like she's been out there running for an hour.  It's hell to get old!
*I mentioned that Leah was joining a travel soccer team.  We're going to try it next year.  It's through a local program that does not focus on winning as much as teaching skills and teamwork.  Here's some pics from her last game...

*Seems like I have lots of pics from the last month so I'll share more this week!

Have a good one!

Fun Bits...

Crazy week again with Mega Meet, but ahhhh, I don't have a class to teach, an expo to attend or any big events until mid-July.  Woo Hoo!!!!!

How about some fun bits for the last 2 weeks.... Fun Bits for the week of May 1st ...

*Lately Brooke has been reciting "We're not perfect, we're parents"...apparently she heard this on a TV show and keeps saying it.  It makes me laugh because it's oh, so correct!!!
*I spoke with Kami's boyfriend's Mom at preschool.  Deacon said Kami broke it off, not him.  She told him she was sorry that she was going to break his heart.  Oh my, I'm not ready for this kind of stuff!
*Kami told me I had a beard the other day...lovely.
*Brooke and I had a conversation about my boobs the other day.  She thinks that they will come out of her belly when she gets older.
*Leah had an awesome assist at soccer the other day.
*Eric and the girls made me a yummy breakfast for Mother's day today...homemade waffles, cinnamon rolls and bacon, yum!  They also let me hang out on the couch for most of the day catching up on my Bravo shows and I got to take a nap!

Happy Mother's Day to all of the Mom's out there and anyone that's felt the love of a Mom!

Have a great week!

Fun Bits for the Week...

Fun Bits for the week of  4/18/11...

Yes, I know I haven't posted in a week.  I'm in complete chaos right now...new designs, new website modules, new mid-show release, Easter in the middle of all of that, prep for Mega Meet, prep for upcoming classes, new product for the consumer site - shall I go on?

Here's some fun bits for the last two weeks...

* While driving to the waterpark last Thursday, we went by downtown Columbus.  Eric asked the girls what city it was and Leah said "New York".  Mom said "I wish".  Brooke chimmed in and said "and there's the ocean".   Laughter from Mom and Dad.
* Impressively Brooke typed our house number on the calculator without prompting.
* Kams is back together with her boyfriend at preschool - thank goodness. ;)
* If you see Brooke, ask her to sing "Peace like a wiver" - you will thoroughly enjoy it.
* Leah is definitely 7 going on 15.  Bossy.  Complaining all the time.  Snaps at Mom.  Gets mad easily.
* Kami is insistent that she's getting so big, so fast.  I keep reminding her - yes, I know.
* Brooke told me I had big boobs when she saw me naked in the bathroom stall at the waterpark.  Little does she know they're 3 times smaller than they used to be!
* We enjoyed our visitors over the Easter weekend!  Ron, Kathy and the girls came down for a waterpark adventure, Easter egg hunt and Easter morning.  I have some pics to share!!!

One sweet bathing beauty.  Looking through these pics - she seems to be smiling more for me.  She was having a ball at the waterpark - I had to keep an eye on her because she was starting to be a little daredevil on the slides.

See that big black funnel in the middle - to my surprise, Leah rode down that slide with her Dad.  It's like a funnel.  She really impressed me - since she's still afraid to put her face in the water. ;)

One tired bubs sitting with Uncle Ron.

Kami had a blast too!  Slide, steps, repeat....slide, steps, repeat.

Alyssa had to sneak in some texting but Aunt Jill caught her! ;)

Brooke wasn't as concerned about the Egg hunt.  She got tired really fast and was ok with only a couple of eggs.  Good thing her sisters and cousins were there to help her find her "34" eggs.  Thanks Aunt Kathy!

The crew before the hunt.  They look happy!

Kami's on a mission!

Camille doesn't look thrilled to have Aunt Jill taking her picture while she's creatively coloring eggs.

Pretty colors.

Peeps for breakfast?  Makes a girl happy.

Purple was our color this year.

The whole gang all dressed up and ready for church!

Have a great week everyone!

Fun Bits for the Week...4.4.11

Fun Bits for the week of 4.4.11...

* Lily (dog) started her new meds this week and seems to be doing fine.  The funny thing is the meds come in the form of treats and she's hesitant to eat them.  Before we had to stuff her pills in a treat and half the time she would spit them out!
* I lost 6 pounds but quickly gained half of it back with my trip to Wisconsin.  Hopefully this weather can get me back in gear!  I'm supposed to be in a bathing suit in 2 weeks (indoor waterpark).  Yikes!!!!!
* Kami told Eric today that her boyfriend Decon "broke up with her because he has a different girlfriend"...she's 4!  I can't wait to see Decon's Mom on Wednesday to see what happened! ;)
* Brooke said we were eating at Max & Sunday's tonight ...it was a combination of Max & Ermas and Ruby Tuesdays. ;)
* I'm looking forward to a women's retreat with our church this weekend.  I could really use some spiritual guidance these days.
* Eric is filling out paperwork for a second set of school pictures for Leah...I don't understand why they take them twice a year now?  Yes, I know, to make more money....  Seems crazy to me.  They have digital backgrounds to choose from and I choose none of them!
* I really enjoyed my trip to Wisconsin this past weekend. The Scrapbook Store in Greenfield was beautiful...thank you Beth and Angie!  My students were very friendly and well behaved ;).   Love seeing Stephanie from Bella and I visited her offices.  Jen and I had a good time too! We just giggle and it makes me feel young again!  Here are a couple of pics...

Jen is absolutely giddy about being published for the first time - her first try at applying!!!!!  Congrats Jen!  Way to go!

One side of the classroom...there's Stephanie in the middle...notice she and Morgan are talking.  I had to keep a close eye on them to make sure they were following directions! ;)

Cupcakes by Beth!  Yummy!  She even made the cute sugar pics on top out of Jillibean paper!

Some Jillibean goodness.  They had a cute banner and pinwheels hanging up for me.

What I don't have a picture of is of the Thrift store that's right next door to the Scrapbook Store.  They had hundreds (maybe even thousands) of 2nd had Barbies hanging up on peg boards in the entrance on on the walls - oh my, it was quite creepy!

That's it for me!  Have a great week!

Fun Bits for the Week of 3.28.11

Fun stuff going on at the Yeg house ...the week of 3.28.11

* Brooke yelling "who dranked out of my Jesus cup"...one of her older sister's VBS cups...made me giggle.
* Leah finally started soccer - she's been ready but the weather has not been cooperating.
* Lily (dog) and hubby have been fighting over snoring time at night - they go back and forth...dog...hubby...dog...hubby.
* Brooke and Kami making their babysitter laugh until she cried with their singing of Katy Perry's song "Firework".
* Saturday morning I found myself watching Yo Gabba Gabba (which I can't stand) but only because Jack Black was on the episode and I couldn't believe he would wear that orange suit!
* Thoroughly enjoyed game night with the neighbors and friends.  Nice to have some non-Jillibean fun!
* Happy Birthday Uncle Jeff - 4.4.11
* This is how kids get dressed in our house without supervision...

Have a great week!

Fun Bits for the week of 3.13.11

Fun Bits for the week...

*Leah received her report card/comments - guess what...she's a perfectionist.  She doesn't like to get things wrong and won't answer questions if she thinks she doesn't know the answer.  Sounds like her mama to me. ;)
*Laina and I started on a mid-show release - it has some cute summer-themed details in it!
*Day 1 after spring break has started...Leah is "bored".
*Hopefully Lily's new meds will help cut out some of the seizures she's been having.
*Hubby and I enjoyed date night Friday night with a good meal and Les Miserables!  Thanks babe for the tickets!
*Brooke was heard singing Lady Gaga's "Born This Way"...born this way, born this way, born this way, trick, trick, trick, trick, born this way, born this way, born this way.  Yeah, I know, she should not be listening to that kind of music anyhow.
*I learned this weekend that our new neighbors are both Purdue graduates - hubby is excited....well, as excited as he gets. ;)

Here's a pic of my dancin' girl...

Have a great week!

Fun Bits for the Week of 9/12/10....

Fun Bits for the week of 9/12....

*Lily celebrated her 8th birthday on 9/8.  She has the gray hairs to show it. ;)  She's our dog in case you didn't know. ;)
*Leah decided to carve her name in our kitchen table.  She received her first grounding.
*Brooke looks too little to be attending preschool.  Her teacher says she's the perfect little student.
*Both Kami and Leah are taking dance classes this year.  Tuesday evening after dance, Kami sat down at the table to eat and said "I still have my tard on".
*While discussing being a Mom, Kami insisted she was having 3 kids and when they grow up, they would tell her that they were "bugging her".  Wonder where she heard that?
*Today, I heard Brooke singing Justin Bieber "Baby, Baby, Baby, whoaaa".
*I just found a dollar bill in the bathroom garbage upstairs.  Who knows what else has been thrown away!
*Two weeks ago, I enjoyed a weekend with the girls - Stephanie Hunt of Bella Blvd and Nikki Sivils of Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker.  It was such a nice weekend!  We spend the weekend at a scrapbooking B&B in Illinois called Lets Get Croppin.  Steve and Susie are the owners and we enjoyed visiting with them.  I left feeling re-inspired.  Love those gals.  Here's a couple of pics...

We also had a little visitor that came with Nikki...his name is Alfred.  Alfred is the cuttest little Yorkie mix (I think) and he recently had a run-in with another dog.  Unfortunately, the other dog won and Alfred was left with a drainage tube, stitches in his neck and several other bruises and bites.  He slept most of the time he was there and didn't really want to socialize with the rest of us.  On the last day, he did let me pet him which made me smile.  Here's a pic of Alfred with Nikki.  He only has a couple of teeth, so I loved getting this pic with his snaggletooth sticking out!

Have a great week!  Thanks for stopping by!
