Want to help stuff eggs?

Since I'm in charge of our Easter Egg Hunt at church, that means I'm in charge of getting 2000 eggs filled!  If anyone wants to join me next Monday eve (4th)...I'll be stuffing.

Have a good one!

Quick Card to Share...

Busy week, getting back into this blogging thing.  Last week I had all my posts prepped on the weekend...didn't happen this week.  Trying to remember what fun stuff to put up here!

Here's a card that I made this weekend at a private crop at B&B.  I had a great time with friends and new friends.

Simple, but cute.  Love using the Unity stamps...they stamp so effortlessly.

I have some layouts to share from the weekend too!  I just need to get some good pics.

Have a great day!

Fun Bits for the Week of 3.21.11

A bit of fun for the week of 3.21.11...

* I have no idea where she learned it but Brooke has been heard singing "Woop There It Is" around the house and in the car.  It's just funny - you never know what's coming out of that kids mouth!
* We enjoyed our first trip to the zoo with some friends early on in the week...we were treated to a show by the "monkeys".  I wanted to cover the girl's eyes. ;)
* Brooke was heard making fun of a teenager wearing a purple shirt - she said "boys aren't supposed to wear purple".  Once again, I have no idea where she learned that!  She also said that "she's the boss and he can't wear that shirt".
* The girls spent some time with Uncle Ron, Aunt Kathy, Alyssa and Camille this past week/weekend - on the drive up to PA, they wanted to watch "Elf".  Leah and Kami love this movie and watch it at any time of year!
* I enjoyed meeting lots of lovely ladies at the Memories Expo this past weekend and at a private crop.  Hello to my table mates!!! ;)  I'm excited to show you some cards and layouts I completed!  <----yep, COMPLETED!!  Woo Hoo!
* On a sad side note, our poor little poocher could use some prayers.  She's been having seizures again - too many of them.  We're starting some new meds this week which we hope will calm them.  Also, I'm noticing more "spots" on her - she's in the age range for cancer for dogs.  :(

Have a great week everyone!

Need Some Inspiration?

Wanna know where I go to look for inspiration?  Google of course...that will take you anywhere you want to go, that's how I get most of our soup names....I just google words that pertain to the design and find a recipe that fits.  I look to lots of other places for design inspiration - catalogs, magazines, design books, home decor books...I get color combinations from just about anywhere.  I have been looking up typography and letters for a couple different reasons.  I need to spell the remainer of S-O-U-P for my office and I need large letters - I have the "S".  Also, I'm wanting to do a fall line about typography.

Here's so stuff on Etsy I ran into...

Personalized Boutique Custom Boys/Girls Baby Child Name Wood Block Letters -- Nursery -- Hanging -- Elephants Leaves -- Green Blue White

You can view more of Oh My Buttons and Bows here.

Retro Modern Wood Letters- "AT" symbol in red

Love these letters from EdiesLab.

vintage coffee bean bag chairs

How cool are these vintage coffee bean bag chairs!!!!  You can see more from Blanaid (Ireland) here.

Shut the front door 18x22 handmade sign

Love this and want one for my office. ;)  This comes from WilliamDohman and sells for $175.

CHECKBOOK COVER - Vintage Colored Typewriter Keys

Here's a cool checkbook cover...this is being sold by Two Polkadots

So much cool stuff and so little time to explore. :)

Have a good one!

Couple of Cards to Share...

You're gonna see more cards on this blog than layouts...I just don't have time to scrap like I would like to.  I do, however, make time for cards which I love.  I've been teaching more this spring and most of the classes I'm teaching are card classes.  You can still join me at The Scrapbook Store (Wisconsin), Mega Meet (Michigan), Scrap Happy (Tiffin, OH)...would love to have you!

Have a great day!

Another Paper Bag Mini....

I've been working on another paper bag mini for my upcoming event in Wisconsin at The Scrapbook Store.  Here's some pics...

I have a tutorial on my old blog on how to make the album with lunch bags.  You can view it here (btw, when I was looking it up, I realized it was back in 2008 - holy cow, time flies).  I'll post more pics of the album once it's complete!  Love the colors in Chilled Strawberry!

Have a great day!

Fun Bits for the week of 3.13.11

Fun Bits for the week...

*Leah received her report card/comments - guess what...she's a perfectionist.  She doesn't like to get things wrong and won't answer questions if she thinks she doesn't know the answer.  Sounds like her mama to me. ;)
*Laina and I started on a mid-show release - it has some cute summer-themed details in it!
*Day 1 after spring break has started...Leah is "bored".
*Hopefully Lily's new meds will help cut out some of the seizures she's been having.
*Hubby and I enjoyed date night Friday night with a good meal and Les Miserables!  Thanks babe for the tickets!
*Brooke was heard singing Lady Gaga's "Born This Way"...born this way, born this way, born this way, trick, trick, trick, trick, born this way, born this way, born this way.  Yeah, I know, she should not be listening to that kind of music anyhow.
*I learned this weekend that our new neighbors are both Purdue graduates - hubby is excited....well, as excited as he gets. ;)

Here's a pic of my dancin' girl...

Have a great week!

Spring Break...

Yay!!!  We finally have sunshine!  Man the winters are gray here.  I'm thrilled to see some tulips popping up, the grass is beginning to turn and I can see some growth on the trees.

The girls, hubby and I enjoyed the St. Patty's day parade last weekend.  Here's a couple of pics...

Sorry if you saw this on Facebook on on the Bean Talk blog - it makes me giggle everytime I look at Brooke's face.

Big balloon for our little town. ;)   It was windy that day so I'm sure the string holders got an arm workout.

Cutie patutie in her shamrock shades..

Mom and Kams - staying warm.

These funny blow-up Leprauchans.  See them every year!

That's the "good" smile.

Hope you have been enjoying the sunshine!

Have a good one!
